
Karen Trost has spent four decades in academic publishing, with more than 30 years’ experience as a freelance editor and writer. She began her career in Manhattan at John Wiley & Sons, then moved across midtown to Harper & Row/HarperCollins before launching a long-standing freelance business that has supported major publishing houses throughout the country. Her editorial work spans disciplines from the life and health sciences to psychology, business, and the humanities, and has also included development of a number of trade titles. She is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in anatomy & physiology, having contributed to multiple editions of market-leading print and digital learning materials in that discipline used in colleges and universities nationwide. Karen lives in Texas with her husband and rescue dog, and enjoys singing, reading, gardening, practicing yoga, and spending time with her adult children.
