Karen L. Dancey, MBA, has been a Professor in the Business and Technology Department at Fresno City College (Fresno, CA) since 2008. She is the lead instructor for the Medical Office Programs and also assists students in acquiring internships in the area. She teaches Resume/Interview, Computer Applications (MS Office), Medical Administrative Assistant (front office medical), Medical Office Vocabulary, Electronic Health Records, and Medical Insurance and Coding Concepts (back office medical) classes. Previously, she was an adjunct instructor for seven years at Merced College (Merced, CA) teaching Computer Applications (MS Office), typing, and Rresume/Interview classes. Karen earned an MBA from DeVry University Keller Graduate School of Management (Lisle, IL) in 2007 and a BS degree from California State Polytechnic University (Pomona, CA) in Business Administration. She has worked for over 12 years in Human Resources and over five years in the medical field. She and her husband have owned several retail businesses in California. She enjoys helping students complete their educational goals, assisting in their job search, and having them contact her, once they are hired, for student interns.
